Tom Linton, Chief Procurement Officeer and Executive CP, LG Electronics - IMPACT
March 2, 2011 - IMPACT presents Tom Linton, Chief Procurement Officeer and Executive CP, LG Electronics Mr. Thomas K. Linton has decades of experience in both global procurement and the semiconductor industry, having built his career at companies around the world. He currently serves as the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for LG Electronics and it is based in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to taking on this role, he served as CPO of Agere Systems and then in the same role at Freescale Semiconductor. Mr. Linton built his career at IBM, where he spent 20 years. He eventually rose to the role of Director of Global Hardware Procurement where he founded and developed IBM's China Procurement Center, Singapore Trading Center, Singapore Technical Center and Ireland Procurement Center. After leaving IBM, Mr. Linton helped found E2open Inc., a supply chain software company where he served as a Corporate Vice President and General Manager for South Asia. Mr. Linton has lived and worked in Asia for 20 years including seven years in Tokyo, Japan, with IBM, where he held Asia wide roles in both IBM World Trade headquarters and in the IBM PC Company. Mr. Linton earned his Bachelor's from the University of Vermont, where he was a member of the debate team. He enjoys golf, skiing, and family time with his 3 sons and wife of 29 years.
