World Mission Society Church of God in Atlanta
On June 4, 2012 The World Mission Society Church of God was honored by the Atlanta City Council and was presented with a Proclamation recognizing its commitment to improving well-being of the citizens of City of Atlanta. A Proclamation is a public and official announcement to all the people of Atlanta, especially ones dealing with a matter of great importance by increasing public awareness or giving a special honor to a person or organization. Special Honor Proclamations are issued by the City of Atlanta to provide an opportunity for the President of the City Council and all Council Representives to recognize exceptional events, groups or people for heroism or anyone that has done something great for the City of Atlanta. The goal of a proclamation is to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary achievements of city residents and non‐profit organizations, to honor occasions of importance and significance to the residents of Atlanta, and to increase public awareness of issues with the hope of improving the well‐being of citizens of Atlanta. The Proclamation was award to the World Mission Society Church of God because of the environmental cleanup campaign that was held on March 11th 2012. This environmental cleanup campaign was held on a global scale to heal the sick earth and carried out in 150 countries including Korea all together.
