ANTARCTICA Feb. 2012_ the whole trip in 3D.
on board the Antarpply expedition ship , Ushuaia. Visited Barrientos islands( Aitcho grp of the South Shetland islands), Foyn Harbour (Guvernoren Shipwreck ), Paradise Bay (Brown Station), U-turned from Le Maire Channel (that was blocked by ice) to Danco Island, Cuverville island( largest Gentoo colony here), Jougla point, Port lockroy, Neko Harbour at Andvord Bay, Deception Island(a collapsed volcanic cone) and finally Half Moon Island. Altogether 9 landings and 3 cruises on Zodiacs. Feb. is a time of moulting penguin chicks.
