Pahari Dogri Song 'Uddian Koonjaan jaii paiyaN' by Malika Pukhraj & Tahira Syed







Malika Pukhraj was trained in Pahari Music in early Childhood and got honor of singing in the Court of MahaRaja of Jammu Kashmir at the age of 10. She had a full Command on 'Raga Pahari Dogri' and she took the classical Pahari Music to new heights to make it comparable to any classical Music of South Asia. She is Undoubtedly the 'QUEEN of PAHARI MUSIC' . This is one of her favorite Pahari song & she is accompanied by her daughter Tahira Syed to sing this song.

    One of my fav. song... may be because it's the song about some villages of Himachal Pradesh, India e.g. Paprola and Nadaun of Kangra district, and Barot of Mandi district.
