Layori - Hold on (naija music 2010)







MAJOR TALENT IN THE BUILDING!!!! Okay, i don't know where i have been all this while. How the heck have i not heard of Layori!! Kai, this is too sad. Layori is amazing!! I just heard of her through www.olamildentertainment.com. I swear this lady is talented and beautiful to say the least. The song i heard on http is titled "Dada". The video is actually on youtube. She looks divine in those dresses and the scenery is tres amazing. The song is so jazzy, soulful and beautiful. Sigh. Anyhoo, i visited her website and watched a couple of interviews she has on youtube with afrojammusic. I also tried purchasing her cd on amazon but it states that the cd's are out of stock and the ones they have are hella expensive. The cd's are not available for purchase on I-Tunes either. Bummer. Will keep checking. The album came out March 30 2010. It's titled "Origin". A bit about Layori: "It was on a Valentine´s day that Layori discovered her love -- her love for great performances. She stood on the stage of the "Mayflower School" auditorium in her domestic Nigeria to sing for three thousand of her fellow students and their relatives. It was just overwhelming. It felt totally natural for me to stand up there on stage and perform. She had trained her voice from her early childhood on, but she found out in that very moment that music would play the leading role in her life from now on. With the first few bars of the blues-colored, folkloristic title "Dada", sung in her mother tongue Yoruba ...
